My mother challenged me to save £800 since January for a trip to San Francisco to see the family. Now here's the thing. I could have had around £400. How? Well during Christmas I had £241.89 put into my account. Then during January I had £160 put into my account.
Now this is my dilemma. After the January sales I've always kept to around the £150 mark and not any more than that. IDK HOW THE FUCK I DO IT.
But today. My heart hurt even more when I found out how much I had left. £69.87
It was better than the 13p I had last November. But still. £69 is such an awkward number.
So let me retrace my steps. Here's what I've been spending my money on:
- Jumpers- its bloody cold.
- eBay- usually handbags, shirts and costume jewellery. It's 99p with free p&p but it all adds up.
- Food- I blame the £5 Bahn Mi I recently ate in Hoxton (I regret nothing, that was the best sandwich ever).
- January sales- no shit.
- Art materials- watercolour pencils, sketchbooks, portfolio folders, paint
- Fabrics and components- Gabardine, zips, buttons, more zips
- Oyster card- FUCKING LONDON TRANSPORT IS EXPENSIVE YOU KNOW.
- Chocolate- inflation has caused my freddo's to be 25p :'( I remember when they used to be 5p
- Cinema- My friend made me watch Life of Pi for £13.65 how dare she.
- Ice skating- I even had to pay for my sister *sigh*
OH FFS.
MONEY JUST LIKES TO FALL OUT OF MY POCKETS.
Let me just not go on eBay, go to the cinema, not use the train.
*think of your summer vacation Melissa*
*you don't want to stay in rainy London do ya?*
UPDATE: My mum just said "You should save up for uni as well" -rolls around in distress-
